A team is a group of players who compete together against other teams, or simply help each other. You can belong to one team at a time. Teams carry on from round to round, and their pages stay open between rounds.
Open Teams from the menu under your picture at the top right of the page (on a phone, under My account in the menu). It lists every team, with invitations you have had at the top.
Joining and leaving
Edit- An open team can be joined by anyone: press Join.
- A private team needs an invitation from its leader or second in charge. When you have one, Join and Decline appear on the Teams page.
- To leave, press Leave team on your team's page.
Joining a team clears any other invitations you had.
Starting a team
EditStarting a team takes VIP membership; anyone can join one. Give it a name of 3 to 40 characters that no other team has, write its shout box, and choose whether it is open or private. You become its leader.
Running a team
Edit| Who | Can |
|---|---|
| Leader | Rename the team, make it open or private, name a second in charge, and close the team |
| Leader and second in charge | Invite players by name or player number, remove members, edit the shout box, and look after the team forum |
The second in charge must be a VIP member too. Nobody can remove the leader. Remove all n/a players removes every member without a company in the running round. Close the team makes every member leave and deletes the team forum.
You cannot invite a player who is already in a team, or anyone you have blocked or who has blocked you.
When the leader goes
If the leader leaves, goes bankrupt or their VIP membership runs out, the second in charge takes over if they have VIP. Otherwise the VIP member with the best C-rank becomes leader. If no member has VIP, the team is dissolved. The Leave team button tells a leader which of these will happen.
The team forum
EditEvery team has its own forum, listed on the Forums page and reached from the team's page with Team forum. Only members can read and write in it. The leader and the second in charge can remove posts and lock topics. The usual forum rules apply (see Forums, mail and blogs).
The shout box
EditThe shout box is the team's message on its page, up to 2,000 characters. Anyone can read it, so keep it suitable for everyone (Playing fair). Each team page has a link to report its name or shout box.
Rankings
EditThe Teams page ranks teams by their members' average Company Value in the running round. A team needs at least 4 members to be ranked. The team page lists each member with their company, C-rank and Company Value; a member with no company this round shows N/A.
If Settings offers to connect your Discord account, doing so can also give you a role named after your team on the game's Discord server.
