Selling to the bank
Selling goods to the bank for money at once: how the bank's price is worked out, what you give up compared with the market, and when it is worth it.

The bank buys any goods you have, at once, at its own price. It is the quick way to turn goods into money. Use Sell to bank under The bank (the Sell goods to the bank page), or on My warehouse move goods from Storage to The bank.
The bank's price
EditThe bank starts from the market price and takes off a discount while there is a lot of the good on the market: a little for every 5,000 units for sale, more for higher-level goods, up to a set limit. Only goods already for sale count, not those Coming soon. The page shows each good's market price, the discount and the bank price.
- As on the market, 10% of the sale goes to your stockpile, and the rest is paid into your savings at once.
- Every £20 that reaches your savings adds 1 CV.
- When you sell a good you have also bought on the market, the bought units go first. Their stockpile share is lost, and those you bought in the last 24 hours fetch no more than they cost you.
- Locked goods must be unlocked before you can sell them.
The bank then puts what it bought up for sale on the market, where it appears after 60 to 120 minutes like anyone's goods. Once it does, it counts towards the bank's discount on that good.
Bank or market
Edit| The bank | The market | |
|---|---|---|
| Paid | at once | when a buyer's order fills |
| Price | market price less the discount | the full market price |
| Waiting | none | 60 to 120 minutes before the goods appear, then until someone buys |
| Sales bonus | none | +1 CV a unit you made, within your bonus |
Goods you sell to the bank also lower the next day's sales bonus for that good. Before you confirm, the game tells you how much sales bonus the same goods would earn on the market (Taxes and bonuses).
When to use it
EditSell on The market unless you need the money now: for payday, for loan payments due at midnight, or to keep your savings from going below zero, which costs far more Company Value than a lower price (Loans). The bank also helps very early in a round, when other players have little money and buy few goods.
The Trends page's Sales to the bank shows how many units of each good all companies sold to the bank today, yesterday and a week ago.
