The game is played in rounds. In each round you run one company in one city: you make goods, sell them and try to finish with the highest Company Value (CV). This page gives the overview, and the links lead to the details.
Your company
EditYou run one company at a time, with a name, a home city and a speciality (Founding your company). Everything you build stands in your city, but you trade with every city. Factories in your speciality, and shops selling its goods, produce 10% more.
Land and buildings
EditYou build on zones of land in your city, and your first 10 zones are free (Land and zones). You can own up to 25 buildings of three kinds:
- Factories make goods.
- Shops sell goods to the people of your city.
- Offices sell services instead of goods (Offices and services).
A building next to a road produces 30% more. Buildings lose efficiency as they age, and you can upgrade them (Production and efficiency, Upgrading buildings).
Production chains
EditRaw goods such as wheat, wood and oil come first. Every step after that turns 2 units of one good into one unit of the next, up to finished goods such as bread, furniture and toys. You can run a whole chain yourself, or buy what you are missing on the market. See Production chains and Buildings.
Staff
EditEvery update a building makes production points of its own, and each person working in it adds theirs. People working in their own profession add the most. On the hour, every 100 points become one unit made in a factory or one sale in a shop. A new factory holds 3 people and a shop 2. You pay their salaries from your salary account (Hiring staff, Training staff, Staff costs and absences).
The market and the bank
EditEvery player trades on one market for all the cities. You put goods up for sale and buy what your factories need. Prices change every midnight: goods made a lot get cheaper, goods made little get dearer (The market). The bank buys goods at once, for less (Selling to the bank).
Shops
EditShops sell goods to the people of your city at more than the market price, and every unit sold adds 1 CV (Shops).
Money
EditYour savings pay for most things. Salaries come from your salary account and fuel from your gasoline account, which you fill from your savings. The bank lends money and, once your company has grown, takes investments (Loans, Savings and investments, Taxes and bonuses).
Shares
EditEvery company has 50 shares. You can sell your own for money and buy shares in other companies. Shares pay dividends every Sunday, and dividends and profitable sales earn S-points (Selling your own shares, Trading shares).
Transport
EditVehicles are optional. They carry goods bought on the market to the buyer's city and earn money and CV for each delivery (Vehicles and cargo).
Company Value
EditCV is your score. It rises when you make goods, sell in your shops and earn money, and falls when you spend. A company whose CV falls below 1 goes bankrupt, and one whose owner stays away for 11 days is closed (Company Value and bankruptcy).
Winning a round
EditA round lasts 70 days in real time, and the world updates every 10 minutes whether you are online or not (Game time and updates). The company with the highest CV when the round ends wins. Your result stays on your profile and earns Career points for an all-time ranking. Then everyone starts again in the next round (Rounds, Rankings and records).
