VIP membership is the game's optional paid membership. It makes the game more convenient and tells you more, but it never makes your company produce more. Free players have the same buildings, market and prices. Open the VIP membership page from Support Us in the menu.

What it gives

Edit

The VIP membership page lists what VIP gives right now. New players get some of these benefits free for their first 7 days, and the page says which.

  • A gold star next to your name on your profile and in the forums.
  • 21 days away before an inactive company is closed, instead of 11.

Information

  • A drop-down box with your company's key figures: move the mouse over its name at the top.
  • The stockpile of every share you own, on My shares.
  • Trends of sales in shops, and all your staff's stats on one page.
  • The professions your buildings still need, with the places open, at the top of the hire lists.
  • Your own points for the transport Map tool.

Shortcuts

  • Move staff straight from the staff list.
  • Pay salaries straight away instead of waiting for payday.
  • Build in the best free spot in one click.
  • Pin the goods you trade most to the top of Buy goods.
  • Choose the four pages on the tab bar on phones.

Logo, avatar and teams

  • A company logo, shown above your company profile and, once the game staff approve it, at the top of the page for other players (see Logos).
  • More for your avatar: frames, backgrounds, hair dyes, hats and more.
  • Starting and leading a team (see Teams).

In some rounds

Some rounds have extras that only fit their rules, such as more detail on the unemployed list, a letter when people of a profession you watch come looking for work, more applicants for a job ad, full or part loads set for each vehicle, or changing all similar offices at once.

The free game is complete

Edit

Nothing in VIP is needed to play or to win. The shortcuts save clicks, and most have a free way round them: you can move a member of staff from their profile, place a building by hand, or move payday forward instead of paying at once. Anyone can join a team; only starting one takes VIP.

Getting it

Edit
  • Free trial: press Try VIP free for 7 days. Each account can have it once.
  • Buy days: the page shows the packs of days on sale and their prices. You pay on Stripe's secure page, so your card details never reach the game. The days are added as soon as the payment is confirmed, usually within a minute, and you get a receipt by e-mail.

VIP days start as soon as you pay. By buying, you ask for them to start straight away, so you lose the 14-day right to cancel. If you get the money back, by a refund or by disputing the payment, the days it bought are taken off again. The User agreement page has the full terms.

How the days are used

Edit

One day is used each midnight, and only while you have a company in the running round. Between rounds, or without a company, your days wait for your next one. The page shows the days you have left and your history. When your last day is used, your secretary tells you. If you lead a team when your VIP runs out, the team passes to another VIP member, or closes if it has none.
