The game has forums for everyone, private mail between players and a blog for every player, all under Communicate in the menu. To post, write mail or report anything, you need to have confirmed your e-mail address.
Forums
EditThe Forums page has these forums:
| Forum | What it is for |
|---|---|
| News | News about the game. Only the game staff start topics; you can comment. |
| Questions and answers | Questions about how the game works. |
| Other discussions | Anything else about the game, such as feedback. |
| Report errors and bugs | Errors you find. Describe them carefully. |
| Help files | Ideas for making the help clearer. |
If you are in a team, your team's own forum is listed too (see Teams).
Topics with posts you have not read stand out, and a topic opens at your first unread post. Search the forums finds topics by words in their titles and posts. Put and round words for bold, [i] for italics and [u] to underline. A post can be up to 5,000 characters long, and you can post once every 20 seconds.
Forum rules
Each forum shows its rules. In short: be polite, with no personal attacks; write in English in the main forums; don't overuse capitals or bold; don't post the same reply twice; don't advertise your team, company, shares, goods or other websites; no sexual words or swearing; keep to the topic, and look for an existing one before starting a new one. If someone breaks the rules, don't argue in the forum: report the post, or send the player a polite message. See also Playing fair.
The News page collects the round's news posts, each with a link to its topic for comments.
The Mail page has your Inbox and Outbox. The inbox holds messages from other players and letters from your secretary, who writes when something worth knowing happens. Unread messages are in bold.
To write to a player, open their profile and press Send a message, or press Reply on a message they sent you. A heading can be up to 120 characters and a message up to 5,000. You can send up to 20 messages an hour. Deleting a message removes only your own copy.
In Settings you can have an e-mail sent to you whenever a player or your secretary writes (see Your account).
Blogs
EditEvery player has a blog. Write in yours from My blog: a heading and up to 10,000 characters a post. You can delete your own posts. The Blogs page lists everyone's latest posts, and each blog shows how often it has been viewed.
Blocking a player
EditPress Block on a player's profile, or Block under a message they sent you. After that neither of you can mail the other or invite the other to a team, and their forum posts are folded away for you (you can still open them). They are not told. You can block up to 200 players. Unblock someone from their profile or under Blocked players in Settings. The game staff cannot be blocked.
Reporting
EditEvery message, forum post and blog post, and every player, company, logo and team page, has a Report link. Pick what is wrong, add a short note if you like, and send it. Reports go to the game staff, who look at each one, and the player you report is not told who reported them. You cannot report your own words or the same thing twice, and you can send up to 10 reports a day.
